I woke up to the sound of torrential downpours on the morning of Jon and Suz’s wedding and thought “this means it’s either going to be wash-out of a day or the sky’s running out of rain as we speak.” Thankfully the latter happened, and their wedding at The Barn and Klines Mill was surrounded by gorgeously moody skies and perfect temperatures. Add to that the awesome wildlife and mountain views that graced the property and it truly was a little slice of heaven.
Now moving on to more important things than the weather, let’s talk about Jon and Suz. The two people who I was fortunate to call friends before this day but feel even closer to after having been a part of it. And I’m guessing every guest there would say the same. Their day was so intentionally personal. I could break out into a list of every detail- the redesigned wedding dress, the vows that brought everyone to tears, the exchange of cannolis instead of cake- but it’s really just boils down to one thing:
These two made the choice to have a day that was authentic, and there’s just nothing better than that.
