FYI: I love this engagement session, and this couple, so much that I’m breaking it into two parts.
Part 1: This portion took place at Jon and Suzanne’s home, where I was ecstatic to find the perfect little pocket of light in their dining room to capture a few portraits. And about that ring-
Knowing that the ring he designed wasn’t going to be ready, but not wanting to miss the opportunity to propose at a spot that meant so much to them, Jon found a fill-in ring to give Suzanne when he asked for her hand in marriage. Of course she said yes, and then proudly wore the pink light-up awesomeness on her finger-even to a black tie functions-until the other ring was ready. Needless to say, the “first ring” will always be a special one (and, might I add, such a symbol of how they completely value love over things), so including it in their engagement photos was a must.
