Double Exposure

Took a little moment in the wedding off season to do an impromptu shoot with Erica of Top Knot Studio and Elizabeth of Elizabeth Wilson Makeup, with the simple props of a blank wall, a concrete floor, and a few simple flowers.   I love the way these ladies use hair and make up to accentuate beauty in a natural way, and having a time to experiment with double exposure opened my eyes to a whole new form of portraiture.

On a side note, I often get the question “what is a bridal session?” Well, it could be a version of this! In short, it’s a session before the wedding day where the focus is on creating portraits of just the bride.  And because it’s not on the wedding day, there’s extra time to feel relaxed and get creative.  Plus, it can always be scheduled on a day when you may be doing a hair and make up trial as well. So a win-win-win if you ask me.
