Earlier in the year I wrote a blog post regarding alternatives to traditional wedding venues, and though I can’t take credit for inspiring Anna and Vincent’s location choice, their wedding scene was exactly what I had in mind when it came to turning a vacation rental into a wedding venue.
Actually, it was even better than I could have imagined. They managed to not only find the most beautiful estate in Greenwood, Virginia, but then invested in beautiful details to make it feel like the home was always meant to host weddings. The ceremony site overlooked gorgeous mountain views, round tables were adorned with gorgeous flowers and personalized wine bottles, and the most delicious food and drinks were served by a local favorite C & O Cafe. I also loved how they held cocktail hour before and after the ceremony – which allowed for a sweet impromptu toast from the crowd right after they said “I do.”
But all beautiful physical details aside, I believe the very best part of the day was just how relaxed it was. No stressful timelines, no restrictions, and a flow to the space that allowed guests to feel completely at home.
